Tarbutt pays for this service option to be available for residents and we need to know how much the service is being used.
Please recycle the following numbers:
#1 through #7
We do not accept, glass, film plastics (plastic bags) and Styrofoam in the recycle bins.
Tin food and beverage cans, aluminum food and beverage cans, aluminum trays and foil (please clean!), Plastics: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 plastic food and beverage containers. These all go in the same deposit bin.
Many items are labeled with the familiar recyling symbol, however, this does not mean that it is recycleable in OUR program!!
If you turn your plastic containers upside down, you will usually find the plastic identified by a number inside the recycling symbol and /or the letters PETE or HDPE underneath it.
Some exceptions to the #2 plastic that we CANNOT accept are: Motor oil bottles, pesticide and herbicide containers.
