PUBLIC NOTICE: THE DESBARATS TO ECHO BAY PLANNING BOARD FEE INCREASE

The Desbarats to Echo Bay Planning Board advises that the cost of a consent application will be increased to $1200 effective August 1st, 2023. The Planning Board passed Resolution 32-2023 raising the fee from $800 to $1200 beginning August 1st, 2023 to ensure that costs of administering consent are covered by the application fee. Community Members Wanted – Tarbutt Cemetery Board

The Cemetery Board requires new recruits The Township of Tarbutt is inviting individuals to join the Tarbutt Cemetery Board. The Cemetery Board provides information, advice and assistance to staff and Council in accordance with the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 for the Port Findlay Cemetery on Hardwood Drive, as well as the pioneer cemetery known as the Stickney Cemetery on Barr Road. There are no residency requirements to sit as a member of the Board; simply an interest in ensuring the continued care, maintenance and operation of the Port Findlay Cemetery, and to ensure that the historical value and dignity of the Stickney Cemetery is maintained. The term of office for the Board coincides with the term of Council. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact the Clerk by telephone, or by submitting an expression of interest to clerk@tarbutt.ca.
