Emergency Preparedness

Emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere and the best defense is to be prepared. Whether an emergency occurs from human-caused, technological or natural means the Township of Tarbutt has a program in place.

Even with our Township’s program in place individuals and families play a vital role in preparing for times of crisis when emergency services and other municipal resources may be strained. Local responders may not be able to reach you immediately, or they may need to focus their efforts elsewhere. You should be ready to be self-sufficient for at least three days.

This website provides detailed information on how you can prepare for emergencies including what you should do before, during, and after an emergency.

Emergency Management Documents

All municipalities are required by the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act to have an Emergency Response Plan. Emergency Response Plans are general in nature and outline response and management arrangement in broad terms.
