The Township of Tarbutt is currently seeking individuals to join the Tarbutt Cemetery Board. The Tarbutt Cemetery Board is responsible for the management, regulation and control of the Port Findlay and Stickney Cemeteries, in accordance with the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act. The Board shall provide advice and make recommendations to Council with respect to public perspective for the care and maintenance of the facilities, community concerns, operations and health and safety. The Board will ensure that Council is aware of the needs of the community and will maintain a high standard of dignity for the cemeteries. Any individual who is interested in the Board, or has questions regarding this Board, please contact the Township office at 705-782-6776, or submit an email expression of interest to admin@tarbutt.ca.

The summer hours now apply at the Joint Johnson Tarbutt Landfill. The hours on Wednesday are now from 12 pm to 7 pm.
On May 7, 2025, there will be a routine test of the AlertReady emergency alerting system in Ontario. The test message will be distributed over TV, radio and compatible wireless devices and will occur at 12:55 p.m. EDT. Visit alertready.ca for more information.
