Each resident now receives a ticket with their interim tax bill for a free dump day of their choosing. There are no formally scheduled free dump days. Read more here.
There is a FREE small lending library located in the Township Office. Presently there are about 500 books of all sorts for your enjoyment. We welcome donations of both fiction and non-fiction books. It is open during regular office hours and everyone is welcome to come in and browse and borrow.
In addition to our Lending Library, Tarbutt residents have full access to Sault Ste. Marie Library Services. We encourage our residents to utilize the wide variety of programs and services offered by the Sault Libraries. Please be prepared to show proof of residency.
Dog tags are required each year before MARCH 1st and are available at the Township Office. The cost is $5.00 for spayed or neutered dogs and $15.00 for non-spayed or non-neutered dogs. Proof of valid vaccination status must be provided. Dogs must be under the care and control of an adult at all times, and must not be allowed to run free.

Commencing September 1st, 2024, the fee for Tax Certificates issued to Legal Firms has been increased to $50.00.
MacLennan Community Hall is available for rent by calling the Township Office.
The hall is ideally suited for stags, showers, meetings, and private family parties or gatherings. There is a full service kitchen, and it is handicap accessible.
Hall Rental Fees, effective January 1, 2023:
Short term fee for a meeting of no more than 3 hours $ 50;
One day rental fee for the hall only, no kitchen use $ 70;
Rental fee for the hall and kitchen $100;
Rental fee for the hall and kitchen with alcohol $125
